The National Association of Basketball Coaches have announced the 2011 Division III All-District Teams and Coaches and two of CSI’s own have been listed for the Atlantic Region. The NABC award recognizes the best men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes and coaches in the division, they are chosen by member coaches of the NABC and they represent the finest players across America. Junior Jordan Young was named to the Second Team while Head Coach Tony Petosa was named Coach of the Year.
 
Young, who was also named as a CUNYAC First Team All Star, led his team into the conference finals and the ECAC Post-Season Tournament. After scoring his 1,000th point as a junior, he led the team in scoring averaging 17.1 points per game. The center also led the team in rebounds with a total of 216, making it into the CSI record books with 500+ so far for his career. Young finished with 75 assists, 45 steals and 20 blocks.  
 
After finishing his 20th year as head coach of the Dolphins, Petosa helped the team to 17-11 overall record. With a 10-3 conference record, the Dolphins won their first 9 games in the conference for the first time since 1988. Also a former Dolphins basketball all-star alum himself, Petosa was named as the conference’s Coach of the Year for 2011, his third time receiving this award.
 
The first team listed six players including York’s Marcel Esonwune while the Second Team also saw Baruch’s Chris Beauchamp.
