The College of Staten Island men’s basketball team has qualified for the 47th Annual CUNYAC/Con Edison Men’s Basketball Championship Semifinal, and will take on No. 4 Baruch College tonight at 6pm at the Nat Holman Gymnasium at City College of New York in Upper Manhattan. The Dolphins want YOU to be a part of the action! Cheer on the Dolphins with free tickets and a free ride to the game! CSI has secured a fan bus for the first 50 fans departing the campus at 4pm from the entrace of the Sports & Recreation Center.
Admission to the game tonight is free, but fans will need a physical ticket to enter CCNY. CSI will NOT have physical tickets to give out. Tickets must be obtained online at www.cunyathletics.com. Simply register for tickets and they will be e-mailed to you for print or downloaded from your smart phone (where applicable). Those fans who take the fan bus to the game are guaranteed a spot on the bus for the return home. The bus will depart campus at 4pm, with game time scheduled for 6pm.
The top-seeded Dolphins earned their semifinal berth by virtue of their 85-65 win in the quarterfinals on Saturday over John Jay College. No. 4 seed Baruch College used overtime to get by No. 5 Hunter College, 68-66, in their quarterfinal match-up to meet up with CSI. The two teams played once during the regular season, with CSI taking a 70-69 win in the final seconds at the Sports & Recreation Center in mid-January. In the other semifinal game at CCNY tonight, No. 6 and defending-champ Medgar Evers College will take on No. 7 York College, at 8pm.
