The Faculty Center for Professional Development will present “Building a Foundation of Accessibility with Faculty: An Integrated Approach” with Christopher Cruz Cullari, Director of the Center for Student Accessibility, and
Danielle Dimitrov, Director of Diversity and Compliance on Tuesday, Oct. 23 in the Library (Building 1L), Room 203 from from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.

Creating and ensuring a truly accessible campus for students with disabilities requires active and sustained collaboration between faculty and the Center for Student Accessibility. Join the Director of the Center and the Director of Diversity and Compliance to engage in a discussion about the appropriate role of disability services in higher education, the many services available for students with disabilities at CSI, and the support that the Center can offer to faculty. Most effective methods and guidance from national organizations will be shared in this evolving field. There will be a particular focus on the needs of students with invisible disabilities and students with print impairments.

RSVP to Kristen Lindtvedt in the Faculty Center at 718.982.3774 or via email at facultycenter@csi.cuny.edu. We hope that you can join us for coffee, conversation, and the opportunity to meet CSI colleagues.

NOTE:  Professor Sarah Benesch’s presentation has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 2 due to Convocation. Her original presentation was scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 25.
