On Thursday,  May 2, CSI will host Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day 2013. All  full- and part-time College employees are invited to bring their daughters and sons (ages 6 to 16) to the day’s events.

As part of the day’s activities, children will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of planned activities (schedule to follow) and to meet Interim President Dr. William Fritz. In order to accommodate you, we are pre-registering those who plan on participating in the event.  Please send an email to louise.maurano@csi.cuny.edu with “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day” in the subject line and in the body of the email provide the name(s) and age(s) of your child(ren)  by Monday, Apr. 29. You may also contact the Registrar’s office by phone at 718.982.2331.

Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day is a national event held annually. The program was started as Take Our Daughters to Work Day by the Ms. Foundation for Women in 1993, with the goal of choosing a day to bring girls and young women into the workplace to mentor and inspire the next generation of women. Over the years, formalized programs at companies, schools, and government agencies have grown to include boys as well as girls in activities designed to introduce children to careers and opportunities available to them in the workplace. What better place for children to explore the vast opportunities of their futures than on our campus. We look forward to an exciting day and to meeting your children.
