Ying Zhu, professor and chair of the Department of Media Culture at The City University of New York’s College of Staten Island, writes about the Chinese media in her article “Reading into official corruption” for the China Economic Review. A leading scholar on Chinese cinema and media studies, she is the author or editor of eight books, most recently of “Two Billion Eyes: The Story of China Central Television.” She is currently working on a project concerning Sino-Hollywood courtship.
