Dr. Syed Rizvi
College of Staten Island Interim President Dr. William J. Fritz has named Dr. Syed Rizvi as the College’s new Interim Associate Provost for Institutional Effectiveness.
Dr. Rizvi received a BS from the University of Engineering and Technology inLahore, Pakistan, and an MS and a PhD from The State University of New York, Buffalo. He joined the Engineering Science and Physics faculty in 1996 and was promoted to Full Professor in 2005.
Dr. Rizvi brings his years of experience in outcome assessment and establishing assessment processes for continuous educational improvement to the position. He has extensive academic leadership/administrative experience as Chair of the Engineering Science and Physics Department (2002-2013), an academically diverse department. In addition, he has served the College in the classroom, developing and teaching both graduate- and undergraduate-level courses. He has contributed significantly to his profession with 67 refereed articles and more than 780 citations in refereed publications.
