The Center for Advising and Academic Success (CAAS) is sponsoring a Meet Your Major Fair and we would appreciate it if you could encourage students in your classes (particularly classes that serve early career students) to attend. Students who attend and declare a major at one of these sessions will not be obligated to see an advisor this fall (provided that they have a 2.0 or higher GPA).
The Meet Your Major Fair (MY Major Fair) will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 12:30pm to 3:30pm in the Campus Center (Building 1C) Green Dolphin Lounge. The MY Major Fair is designed to help all students explore the majors available at CSI, plan their academic careers, and declare their majors. Students will meet with faculty from various departments to talk about careers and opportunities available in represented fields.
Students in good standing who receive their advising through CAAS and attend the the fair will have an academic advising worksheet emailed to them and will have their advising hold removed without having to come in to 1A-101—“waitless” advising. This is also a CLUE-certified event!
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me, and thanks so much in advance.
