The College of Staten Island softball team is returning to regional play fresh from a five game swing in Orlando, Florida this afternoon. The team will usher in both its home and CUNYAC opener, with a doubleheader softball showdown with conference-rivals John Jay College. First pitch is at 5pm. The Dolphins come into the contest with a record of 3-2 overall, having won their last three games in Florida. John Jay enters with a record of 1-3. The Dolphins have had a great deal of success against the Bloodhounds, boasting a 53-7 overall record all-time, winning the last seven meetings. Tonight’s games are the CUNYAC-openers for both sides.
