I am writing to notify our community about resources available to students concerning sexual assault, stalking, and domestic and intimate partner violence. The safety and well-being of all of its students is the College’s highest priority. We want to offer support and guidance to those who may experience sexual violence on or off campus.
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, a time in which activists nationwide focus additional public efforts on helping individuals and communities better understand and prevent sexual violence. These issues are extremely serious, and we are committed to assisting any student in need of services.
In accordance with CUNY Policies and Procedures Concerning Sexual Assault, Stalking, and Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence Against Students, the College has developed a sexual violence resources guide that can be accessed online and in offices throughout the campus.
We encourage our students to report any act of sexual violence to the Office of Public Safety (718.982.2110) and to contact the Counseling Center (718.982.2391) for a confidential appointment.
