Sylvia Kahan Piano Recital at The Graduate Center, CUNY

It’s my pleasure to invite you to attend my solo piano recital at Elebash Hall at the The Graduate Center, CUNY, on Monday, Sept. 22 at 7:30pm.

The program will be:

-J. S. Bach: Toccata from Partita No. 6 in E minor

-Joseph Prestamo: Ballade (2014)

-Brahms: Piano Pieces, Op. 76

-Fauré: Ballade in F# major, Op. 19

-Mendelssohn: Prelude and Fugue in E minor, Op. 35

Joseph Prestamo is an outstanding young composer and pianist living in New York. He is currently in the second year of his doctoral studies at The Graduate Center, CUNY pursuing a PhD in Composition. I’m very excited to be playing his beautiful newly written Ballade.

Admission to the recital is free. The Graduate Center, CUNY is located at 365 Fifth Avenue, NE at corner of 34th Street.
