College of Staten Island women’s basketball star Christina Pasaturo won her fourth CUNYAC Rookie of the Week honor in as many weeks, following a lone game last week.  The Dolphins dropped their contest, but Pasaturo put up another solid performance, earning her the CUNYAC’s distinction.

Western Connecticut were victors over the Dolphins last Wednesday in a 60-50 defensive stalemate.  Pasaturo was solid in defeat, however, notching 9 points and a team high 9 rebounds while adding a blocked shot.  Six of Pasaturo’s 9 points were from behind the arc.

For the season Pasaturo leads the Dolphins by averaging 14.0 points per game and is tied for the team lead in rebounds per game with a 6.3 average.  Her 44.2% shooting this season from three-point range (15-34) is good for tops in the conference and 58th nationally among the NCAA Division III cohort.

CSI is next in action tonight at the Sports & Recreation Center when they host seven-time defending CUNYAC Champion Baruch College, at 5:30pm.  CSI interrupted Baruch’s 66-game win streak over the CUNYAC last year.
