The College of Staten Island men’s and women’s swimming and diving team are back in action tonight in their first meet of the new year against CUNYAC opponents York College at 6:00 pm.
The Cardinals women’s team comes into tonight’s meet at 0-7 overall and 0-3 in the CUNYAC. The women will hope to turn their luck around as they haven’t won a meet since the 2011-12 season against Mount St. Vincent College with a score of 61-33.
The men are 0-6 this season and 0-2 in the CUNYAC and will face off against a formidable team in the Dolphins. The Cardinals are coming off of a tough loss to CUNYAC opponents Brooklyn College by a score of 109-69.
The Dolphins come in to tonight’s meet 3-5 overall and 2-2 in the CUNYAC and will hope to start the new year on the right foot. Ewa Wojciechowska will lead CSI in the pool and look to take first place in all three of her events.
For the men they come in with a record of 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the CUNYAC. Tim Sweeney will hope to lead the Dolphins to their second straight CUNYAC win and place first in his three events tonight.
