The College of Staten Island is offering American Red Cross Lifeguard training courses.

The classes include:

-Lifeguard and first aid training, valid for two years

-CPR and AED for the professional rescuer, Valid for one year

-Textbook and pocket mask

 

Students must:

-Be at least 15 years old

-Pass a pre-test on the first day (300-yard swim without stopping, tread water for two and a half minutes, and retrieve a brick from the deep end of the pool)

-Attend all class days

-Complete the final written and practical skill test at the end of the class
