The College of Staten Island Softball program will take on Brooklyn College in a CUNYAC Doubleheader this afternoon in Staten Island, NY at the CSI Softball Complex at 3:00 pm.

The last time these two teams played was on April 3, 2015 in Staten Island, NY where the Dolphins split with Farmingdale, 13-3, 6-9.  Staten Island played extremely well in game one and rebounded perfectly after the Rams’ leadoff hitter crushed a home run over the right field wall and score seven runs of their own in the first inning.  Game two the Dolphins didn’t have the same outcome in game two as a grand slam late in the game shut the door on the Dolphins and ended their six game win streak.

The Dolphins last took on the Bulldogs on April 2, 2014 and swept them, 7-1, and, 5-4.  Staten Island is 42-11 all-time against Brooklyn College and has only lost once in 16 years.  The Dolphins will want to repeat as CUNYAC Champions and go undefeated in the conference for the second straight year.  The Dolphins have played 14 games this season but none in the CUNYAC while the Bulldogs sit in first with a 4-0 CUNYAC record.
