The College of Staten Island women’s soccer team is coming off of a thrilling double-overtime victory against Purchase College last night, and today will usher in the CUNYAC competitive season with a trip to Aviator Field to take on Medgar Evers College under the lights at 8:00pm.

Players To Watch (CSI):  Lauren Smith tallied her second goal in the 3-2 win over Purchase last night.  Look for her role to continue to expand as a freshman.  Look for players like Senda Karagozler and Jennifer Cosenza to use their speed at the front today against MEC.
Players To Watch (MEC): Look for MEC keepers Kimonia Mullings and Marlene Thompson to shoulder the load between the pipes this evening.  They’ve combined to make 25 saves this season.
News and Notes:   CSI has won the last four meetings in the series dating back to 2010.  They have never lost when playing at Medgar Evers’ host facilities (7-0-1 all-time).  CSI is coming into this game haven’t not lost a CUNYAC regular season game in their last 24 games.  In their four straights wins over MEC, CSI has outscored the Cougars, 39-0.
