The College of Staten Island women’s volleyball team will look to get on the winning side of the ledger tonight, opening up their home season with an 8pm date with Yeshiva University at the Sports & Recreation Center.  CSI was tripped up by Kean in it’s opener last week, while the Macabees split a pair of contests a week ago.

Players To Watch (CSI):  Selma Kolenovic led CSI with four kills in their opener last week and Victoria Wong looked sharp on the back line with a team leading 10 digs. 
Players to Watch (YU): Marissa Almoslino is having a great start to the season with 14 kills and a healthy .257 kill percentage.  Look for Shaina Hourizadeh to be a force on the back line, averaging 11 digs per game.
News and Notes:  This is the first time the two teams are meeting on Staten Island for a match since way back in the 2008 year.  CSi won that match, 3-0, and won last year’s match by the same score.  Yeshiva last won a game in the series in 2011 by a 3-2 count.  In last year’s tilt Brittany Minondo scattered 21 assists , and Wong collected 8 digs.  CSI won by scores of 25-14, 25-7, and 25-14.
