The College of Staten Island women’s volleyball team is back on the court tonight against the Bears of St. Joseph’s College – Brooklyn at 7:00 pm. The Dolphins recently ended their losing skid with a 3-0 win over Medgar Evers and will now look to start a win streak against the Bears.

Matchup: CSI (6-11 overall, 2-4 CUNYAC) vs. St. Joseph’s College – BK (5-7 Overall, 0-2 Skyline)
Where: College of Staten Island, 2800 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, NY
First Serve: 7:00pm
All-Time Series: St. Joseph’s leads 8-3
Last Year’s Result: CSI won TWICE, 3-1, 3-0
Players To Watch (CSI): Ashley Notaro is coming off of a five kill zero error match against Medgar Evers in which the Dolphins won 3-0. Notaro will look to attack the net and replicate her numbers and help the Dolphins grab their seventh win of the season. Brittany Minondo returned to form with a 14 assist outing and will put the ball in position for her teammates to score against the Bears.
Players to Watch (SJCBK): Lauren Ganun leads the Bears in kills with 178 on the season. Ganun will certainly give the Dolphins’ defense some trouble. Anna Carbone will orchestrate the attacks for the Bears and set her teammates up to spike some points.
News and Notes: Although the Bears lead the all-time series, the Dolphins have bested the Bears in the past two years winning three out of the last four matches. CSI will hope they are able to start to turn their season around as it winds down and get to .500 before the start of the CUNYAC Playoffs. Tonight is the Breast Cancer Awareness match for the Dolphins and they please ask that you wear PINK in support of the cause.
