The College of Staten Island women’s volleyball squad lost for the second straight time tonight, falling hard to William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ, 3-0.  Individual set scores were 25-6, 25-19, and 25-11.  CSI fell to 8-14 with the loss, while WPU lifted to 16-12.

CSI could not do much offensively as the team mustered up only 11 total kills in the game next to the Pioneers’ 48.   Nicole Spicer led the way for WPU with a heavy 19 kills, adding a team-leading four service aces.  Kendell Caruso finished with 44 assists while Michelle Merida tallied 14 digs.  Selma Kolenovic finished with three kills for CSI to lead the way while Brittany Minondo finished with eight assists and 15 digs.

CSI will play in their regular season finale on Saturday when they travel to face Bryn Mawr College for an 11am, non-conference, trimatch.
