The College of Staten Island men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams are back in action tonight, resuming their CUNYAC schedule with a matchup against Lehman College at Lehman College in the Bronx, NY. The men last swam on November 20 when they took on Baruch College in a CUNYAC tilt, since than they have not had any competitive meets. The women on the other hand recently swam against Hunter College last Friday which saw them on the wrong side of a 61-34 score line.

Players To Watch (CSI): For the men the Dolphins will rely on their third year swimmer Tim Sweeney to lead the charge against the Lightning. Sweeney has 11 first place finishes this year to go along with one second place and 1 third place finish and leads the Dolphins with 244 points. For the women it will be Ewa Wojciechowska leading the charge as she has recorded 9 first place finishes, a second place and pair of third place finishes on the year.
Players To Watch (LC): Anthony Preda of the Lightning will try lead his team past a strong Dolphins squad. Preda most recently finished in first in the 100 yard Breaststroke with a time of 59.69. On the women’s side Melody Ovalles will battle Wojciechowska for the top spot in the races.
News and Notes: The Lightning men’s squad picked up their first loss of the season earlier this month against Maritime which dropped them to 3-1. The Lightning women are coming off a loss to Hunter College which saw them drop to 0-1 in the CUNYAC. For the Dolphins, the men are a perfect 2-0 inside the CUNYAC and will look to continue their reign. The women will hope to bounce back after a tough loss against CUNYAC rivals Hunter College.
