Recognizing the challenges that many of our students may experience getting enough food, the College of Staten Island will open its Food Pantry on Friday, Feb. 26 at 9:30am in the Campus Center (Building 1C) Green Dolphin Lounge. The CSI Food Pantry will offer healthy food selections to currently enrolled CSI students who may experience hunger, so that they can focus on their academic studies. All information about the users of this food program will be kept confidential.
Student Eligibility
- The program is open to currently enrolled CSI students
- A valid CSI Dolphin Card is required
- Applicants will need to complete a brief intake form (for statistical purposes only)
- Two visits per month are permitted

Food Pantry Hours of Operation
Every second and fourth Friday of the month: 9:30am to 11:30am and by appointment
Please note: The Food Pantry will be CLOSED when classes are not in session. Additional hours will be posted for the Summer semester.
What to Expect
Students will be provided with various non-perishable items from the pantry. Students are encouraged to bring their own grocery bag or to reuse the grocery bag they are given upon their initial visit to the pantry.
How to make referrals to the Food Pantry?
Faculty and staff are encouraged to refer students who express a need that could be addressed by using the CSI Food Pantry. Please contact the CSI Office of Student Life at 718-982-3088 with any questions.
How to donate
Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted in 1A-301 between 9am and 5pm and in 1C-201 between 10am and 4pm. Special arrangements can be made by calling Greg Brown at 718-982-3088.
