The College of Staten Island men’s volleyball squad is back in action tonight against the Cannoneers at 7:30 pm at the CSI Sports & Recreation Center.  The men are coming off of a sweep over Rust College on Saturday after losing two straight.

All-Time Series: First meeting
Last Year’s Result:  Did not play
Players To Watch (CSI):  Danil Kukovitskiy is coming off of a five kill match against Rust College where he hit .300 for his team while only committing two errors.  Adil El Haddad also had a monster match against Rust as well as he accumulated a career high eight aces while just playing two sets. Brandon Lei also had a solid outing with 10 assists through the three matches but he didn’t have to be called on a lot as the Dolphins’ serves were picking apart the Bearcats defense.
Players to Watch (PI):  David Cutler is the point getter for the Cannoneers as he has accumulated 59 kills through three matches so far this season. Brandon Ryan has been sending precise passes to his teammates all season and has been rewarded with 75 assists for his efforts.
News and Notes: The Dolphins and Cannoneers share one common opponent this season and that is Medgar Evers College.  CSI swept the Cougars 3-0 while the Cannoneers defeated them 3-1. CSI will look to take down Pratt in their first ever meeting in the school’s history tonight. Pratt Institute went 10-6 last season and lost in the HVIAC Championship match to Yeshiva University.  The Dolphins on the other hand had a loaded schedule full of top tier teams and went 6-23.  The men will look to improve upon that mark as a win tonight would put them just one win behind last season’s total.
