The College of Staten Island women’s basketball team’s postseason seeding will be determined after tonight’s game against top of the table Lehman College at 5:30 pm.  The women will need some help to garner a No. 2 seed as they would need to beat the Lightning tonight and hope for a Brooklyn loss against Baruch.  Should the women attain the No. 3 seed, they will play on Sunday at the CSI Sports & Recreation Center.

Players To Watch (CSI): Christina Pasaturo is coming off a personal best night against Baruch College. Pasaturo recorded her first career triple-double (20 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists) without playing the fourth quarter.  The Dolphins will need every bit of her skill tonight against the Lightning as they will be looking to move up in the seeding for the postseason.  Jamie Pifalo is also another player to watch and has been lethal from behind the three point line in recent games as she looks to be hitting her stride at the tail end of the season.
Players To Watch (LC):  Amely Del Rosario torched the Dolphins for 22 points last time the Lightning met the Dolphins earlier this year and will look for a repeat performance and to protect their No. 1 seed.  Karrin Walker also gave Staten Island an issue in their last meeting and was able to pour in 21 points and grab 11 rebounds.  Walker is a dominant force inside the paint and Nicole Vierno will need to be up to the task to shutting Walker down.
News & Notes:  Prior to the loss earlier this year the Dolphins had been on a seven-game win streak against the Lightning.  The Dolphins will need to dominate the boards in this contest as they are 8-2 when they win the rebound battle.  CSI lost the rebounding battle in their last contest against Lehman College, 48-52.  After shooting over 70% from the line in their previous two games the Dolphins have fallen back to shooting just 56% in their game against Medgar Evers and a season low 33% against Baruch.
