As many of you may know, Satoko Fukai is leaving CSI after five years to return to her native Japan and begin a new stage in her career. We want to thank Satoko for all her great work serving thousands of students over the years and working with partner schools abroad, faculty and staff on campus, and colleagues throughout CUNY. We wish her a fond farewell and know that our paths will cross soon.

At the same time, we are happy to welcome two new Study Abroad Advisors in the Center.

Lucy Amon joined the staff this week and will advise students and coordinate programs all over the world. Lucy is widely traveled and comes to us after working in study abroad at Fordham and Georgetown.

John Dunleavy, who joined us last fall on an interim basis, will continue his work full-time as an advisor. John has many years’ experience in international education, has worked with the Center as an ESL teacher since 2010, and lived and studied in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

In addition, Russell Davis will be serving as our Senior Study Abroad Advisor, helping to coordinate our overall advising efforts in study abroad.

Please see updated bios for all Center for International Service staff and bios for the Study Abroad team on our Website and please join us in welcoming Lucy and John to our study abroad team.
