The College of Staten Island baseball squad will return home today for a non-conference game against William Paterson University at 4:00 pm.  The Dolphins are coming off of a split against Maritime College which moved their overall record to 8-5.

Players To Watch (CSI):  Nick Delprete continues to have an outstanding senior campaign is currently batting .422, good for second on the team, and crossing home plate a total of 10 times. Peter Bellina has yet to allow a run on him this season and is 2-0 on the mound with eight strikeouts and a 0.00 ERA.
Players to Watch (WPU):  K.C. Abel is currently leading the Pioneers with a .433 batting average and has a team high 10 doubles to go along with a single homerun.  On the mound for the Pioneers it has been Bryan Kopko getting the job done as he is 2-0 with a 0.84 ERA.
News and Notes: The Dolphins have won two of the last five meetings against the Pioneers.  Staten Island has the tools this season to pick up a win over William Paterson and improve their out of conference record as they look for an NCAA bid.  When the Dolphins bat .260 or better they have a 6-1 record and are 2-3 when they bat .259 or less. The Pioneers will come into today’s game on a two game losing streak while the Dolphins are trending in the right direction with a win in their last game.
