Players To Watch (CSI): Justin Edwardsen and Danil Kukovitskiy will have to bring their A-game today to get revenge against the Cardinals as well as try to take down the CUNYAC’s top team.  Edwardsen is coming off of a 12 kill night in the loss to York College.  Newcomer Khaleeq Baum will look to get on the score sheet today as well as help the Dolphins to a pair of victories.
Players to Watch (YC):  The Cardinals are a threat to score from anywhere on the court as five of their players have 35 or more kills through 16 matches.  Leading the pack is Akeem George with 76 kills on 161 total attacks.  Jonathan Liao has tallied 174 assists, most for the Cardinals, and will find the ball to set his teammates up to hopefully spike it down for a kill on the other side of the court. Most recently, Randy Adams destroyed the Dolphins to the tune of 22 kills which is a season high.
Players to Watch (HC):  Ben Crusinberry ranks second in the CUNYAC in total kills with 204 through 20 matches so far this season to go along with a team high 27 service aces.  Cruisinberry is coming off of a down night where he only recorded five kills with four errors in the sweep.  Nicolas Sanchez is the distributer on the team and has racked up 421 assists good for second in the CUNYAC. These two combine have given many opponents trouble this season will continue to do so in today’s multi-match.
News and Notes: This will be the fourth meeting between these two schools and Staten Island will head into it holding a 2-1 advantage over the Cardinals.  Both teams have played New Jersey City University this year and were swept 3-0 in their meeting.  Staten Island and York both took on Brooklyn College earlier this season and were able to defeat the Bulldogs however it took CSI five sets whereas it took just three for the Cardinals to pick up the win.  York is hitting .171 as a team, good for third in the CUNYAC, while the Dolphins hit just .056 as a team which puts them in eighth.  Hunter College has dominated the Dolphins and has swept them in all four of their programs meetings. The Hawks were ranked as high as 14th in the nation for Division III earlier this year but have since fallen out and are they only CUNYAC school receiving votes.
