The College of Staten Island men’s tennis team is back in action today after taking down CUNYAC opponents Brooklyn College on Monday. The Dolphins will look to improve their road record this afternoon with a win over John Jay and move to .500 overall and go two games above .500 within the CUNYAC.

Players to Watch (CSI): Tony Francis continues to wow on the court and is 1-0 in CUNYAC play and 3-1 overall with his three wins coming on courts four, five, and six. Matthew Vesci has played well in CUNYAC play and boasts a 3-2 conference record going into today’s CUNYAC match against John Jay.
Players to Watch (JJC): Carlos Negron is a main stay on court four for the Bloodhounds but recently made his jump to court three where he is currently on a two match win streak and boasts a 2-1 record from that court. Richard Mills plays in the number one slot and has a 2-4 record from that position.
News and Notes: The Dolphins will come into today’s match on a one match win streak with a 2-2 road record. Staten Island currently sits in third place within the CUNYAC with a match in hand over their opponents today. John Jay is 3-9 overall with a 0-6 out of conference record and sits in fifth place within the CUNYAC. Surprisingly enough, the Bloodhounds haven’t played well at home this season and are just 1-5 at home.
