All-Time Series:  CCNY leads, 30-8-3
Last Year’s Result:  Split – CSI won Regular Season 2-1; CCNY won Postseason 2-1
Players To Watch (CSI):  Senior Marcin Klim easily leads CSI in the goal scoring column with seven markers and the Beavers will need to neutralize his production, as he also leads the team with 23 shots fired.  CSI’s Peter Hanna and Adrian Cosovic will be looking to get into the scoring column, as they are the only two Dolphins with 10+ shots taken who have not scored a goal.  CSI’s back line mates of Jacob Szumanski, Ruben Diaz, and Ilir Papraniku will look to keep CCNY off of the scoreboard.
Players To Watch (CCNY): Kenan Redzematovic leads the Beavers with a pair of goals this season, while five other Beavers have score a goal apiece in the early stages of the year.  Abdul Abdulai is a catalyst in the middle of the pitch, registering a pair of assists while firing 10 shots.  The Beavers have had some difficulty keeping their shots on frame.  Through six games they have only registered 17 shots on target.  Keeper Maxwell Berkow has made 24 saves to lead CCNY, but has struggled at times, yielding 13 goals (4.11 GAA) with a save percentage of .649.
News and Notes: If there is one CUNYAC school that has the Dolphins’ number all-time it is CCNY.  The Beavers have won seven of the last 11 meetings dating back to 2005, and after CSI had taken two straight off of the Beavers, CCNY came back with a 2-1, double-overtime, victory over CSI in last year’s CUNYAC Final held at Brooklyn College.  The Beavers have also enjoyed success playing at CSI, where they boast a 12-6-1 record all-time.  Seven of the all-time 41 meetings between the two sides have gone into overtime and fans should expect a close one, as the last five meetings have been decided by a single goal.  CSI is currently on a three game winless streak, their longest since September of last year, when they dropped their first six games.  CCNY has lost three of their last four, but their only two wins this season did come on the road at SUNY-Maritime and SUNY-Purchase.  CSI defeated Purchase, 3-0, while the Beavers won their contest, 2-1.  This is the CUNYAC opener for both teams.  Of the CUNYAC’s 9 teams, six will make the playoffs in late October.
