Last Year’s Result:  CSI won 4-1 and 7-0
Players To Watch (CSI): Freshman Krista Anson has scored a pair of goals since being activated a week ago.  She scored the game-winner over Lehman College on Wednesday and will look the goal streak alive today.  Fellow freshman Krystina Rodriguez is also streaking, having registered a point in each of the Dolphins’ last four games, including assists in the last two games.  Senior Senda Karagozler scored her 10th career goal on Wednesday in the 2-0 win over Lehman as well.  Keeper Nicole Mignone is making history.  She has not been scored upon this season in over 450 minutes in net, the longest personal streak in school history.
Players To Watch (CCNY): Marissa Olsen will need to be contained today, as she is easily CCNY’s most prolific scorer with six goals on 13 shots thus far this season..  Marissa Scotto has added three as well on just six shots.  Alongside two assists, Melany Caceras has also tallied two goals and is second on the squad with seven shots on target.  Catherine Landkamp has had a good start in net.  She has played every minute in goal, surrendering 10 while making 26 saves, good for a .722 save percentage.
News and Notes:  Ever since losing to CCNY in the CUNYAC Championship back in 2012, CSI has had the better way in the series, posting a 6-0 record against the Beavers while outscoring CCNY, 22-3.  Last year’s 7-0 win by CSI in the postseason tournament was their biggest in the series since they took an 8-0 win back in 2006.  The Dolphins tied a 2008 school record with their fifth straight shutout on Wednesday.  Dating back to last season, they have now not given up a goal in a total of 496 minutes.  That eclipsed the 460 straight minutes the Dolphins had as a record in 2008 and the start of 2009.  It’s been feast or famine for CCNY this season.  In their two wins they have outscored their opponents, 12-0, but have been outscored 10-3 in their two losses.  The Dolphins have taken the last 12 regular season meetings against CCNY.  The Dolphins have also never lost to CCNY on their home turf, boasting a 13-0-1 all-time record against them here at the CSI Soccer Complex.
