Less than 48 hours removed from a loss that snapped their four-game unbeaten streak, CSI is back on the pitch today, hosting Hunter College at 4pm, to continue CUNYAC play.  The game should be a big one that has the potential to hold playoff positioning.

All-Time Series:  Hunter leads 18-16-2
Last Year’s Meeting: Hunter won, 2-1 OT
Players to Watch (CSI): Junior Adrian Cosovic was the only Dolphins player to score in the 3-1 loss to TCNJ on Monday and he now is second on the team with five goals.  Marcin Klim continues to lead the way with 9 goals, matching a career season high for him.  CSI’s back line of Ilir Papraniku, Jacob Szumanski and Ruben Diaz will look to be strong today as Hunter was able to take a couple of goals against CSI last year, including an overtime winner.
Players to Watch (HC): Hunter has a very balanced attack, and are led by three goals each from Aiden Tucker, who also leads the team with 25 shots, Jesus Patino Muniz and Daniel Kisel.  Oliver Pedraga has played every minute in goal this season for Hunter and he has been extremely sold, yielding only 10 goals next to 36 saves, good for a 1.60 goals against and a .738 save percentage.
News and Notes: This has been a very even series of late but Hunter has had the better of it going 2-0-1 against CSI since 2012.  The last two games have also gone into overtime.  First, it was a scoreless tie in 2014 followed by HC’s 2-1 win a year ago.  The Dolphins are 7-9-2 all-time at home against Hunter, having last beaten the Hawks at home in 2012 by a 4-0 score, which was also the most lopsided game in the series since Hunter took a 6-1 win in 2008.  It was CSI’s biggest win in the series since a result of the same score in 1994.  Should the Dolphins win today, they would guarantee holding their own destiny for at least a tie for first place in the CUNYAC.  Both CSI and CCNY trail Hunter by a single point in the standings.
