The College of Staten Island women’s swimming and diving teams are back in dual meet action tonight, taking on their rivals of Hunter College at the CSI Sports & Recreation Center. The Dolphins are 2-3 this season and 2-1 in conference play while the Hawks are undefeated on the young season in the CUNYAC coming into this matchup.

Swimmers to Watch (CSI): Two-time Collegeswimming.com Swimmer of the Week Ewa Wojciechowska continues to pace CSI with 191 points in total and 9 first-place finishes in 13 individual events. Samantha Escobedo is enjoying a terrific start to the year and is second in line with 171 points and six first-place finishes. Alicia Defonte is a top freshman for the Dolphins who has been a vital part of relay teams. She leads CSI with 10 Top three relay finishes this season.
Swimmers to Watch (HC): The Hawks are getting great swims from backstroker Julia Mamone and freestyle ace Sera Knobler. Look for them to be a factor tonight as well.
News and Notes: The Dolphins have not had much success against Hunter in recent years, having lost to them for the past three years, and Hunter has won 9 of the last 10 meetings against CSI. The last two meetings here at the Sports & Recreation Center have been very close. Hunter won here in 2014-15 by just thirteen points (112-125), and in 2012-13, CSI defeated Hunter, 119-116.
