Players To Watch (CSI): Christina Pasaturo extended her 20+ point streak to 9 in a row on Monday night with a 20-point outing against the Golden Eagles.  Pasaturo over that 9 game stretch is averaging 52% shooting from the floor which has helped her team go 7-2 over that span.  Victoria Crea has been able to elude defenders and get inside the lane where she is able to use her speed to get to the basket.  When Crea is not slicing to the basket for a layup she is dishing the ball to her teammates to help get them open shots.  Samantha Flecker is coming off of a season high 22 point outing against the Golden Eagles. Flecker is second on the team in scoring with 15 points per game however she is first on the squad with 44 steals.
Players To Watch (HC):  Jade Aponte leads the way for the Hawks this season, averaging 13.9 points per game.  Aponte finds her success from behind the arc as she is shooting 31% from range.  Theresa Leung is second on the squad with 10.5 points per game but she leads the team in assists per game with 3.9 a game. On the rebounding front, the Dolphins will have to deal with Ashley Arias who is pulling down 10 rebounds a game while averaging seven points per game.
News & Notes: The Hawks dominated this series early on, however, as of late the Dolphins are on a five-game win streak over the Hawks which includes wins in the CUNYAC semifinal round.  CSI doesn’t have much success against the Hawks on the road as they boast just a 10-20 record at the Hunter Sportsplex. This season traveling does not seem to affect the Dolphins as they have a 5-2 record on the road.  Staten Island’s defense continues to shine this season as their quick hands have forced an average of 26 turnovers a game, placing them 13th in the nation.  CSI is 10th in the nation with 186 total steals on the year.  The Hawks average 19 turnovers a game, so the Dolphins will look to exploit that to help them win on the road.  Hunter is averaging 62 points a game which is around what the Dolphins allow opponents to score on them this season.
