College of Staten Island junior Samantha Flecker won her first Player of the Week honor this week, bestowed to her from the City University of New York Athletic Conference, it was announced today.  The Dolphins enjoyed a 3-0 week last week and Flecker was at the center of the action.

The week started with come-from-behind win on the road at Drew University.  Flecker was a sharp 11-20 from the floor, dumping in five three-pointers to finish with a career high 27 points to go with 11 rebounds and four steals.  The next day, in a lopsided win over Medgar Evers, Flecker poured in 16 points and added seven rebounds in an abridged 25 minutes.  To wrap up the week, Flecker amassed 18 points and tied her career rebound high of 16 in a 76-68 win over Hunter College.

For the week Flecker averaged 20.3 points, over her season high of 15.5.  She leads the team with 8.8 rebounds per game and has added 69 steals, good for second on the team.

The Dolphins are back in action tonight, taking on Brooklyn College on the road at 5:00pm.
