The CSI Softball team will host non-conference opponents Western Connecticut State University at the CSI Softball Complex starting at 1pm. The Dolphins will continue their commanding year as they look for the 12th straight win this season.

Players To Watch (CSI): The dynamic duo of Patricia Riches and Jacqueline Cautela aided the Dolphins with a doubleheader sweep over Purchase College. Ranked 4th in the nation, Riches (.571 average), went 3-for-6 with two RBIs and two runs. Cautela had an outstanding performance from the circle and the plate. Cautela gained her seventh win of the season, remains undefeated and is ranked 1st in the nation with a 0.15 ERA in 46 IP. The pitcher went 3-for-3 in the second game of the doubleheader with two runs and a homerune. Kristy Colangelo sits third on the team with a .425 batting average, two doubles, one triple, a homerun, and 14 RBIs.
Players To Watch (WCSU): Brittany Stancavage leads the Colonials with a solid .400 batting average with six runs. Power hitter, Charline Plasczynski, has a team-high four homeruns with a .375 batting average, two doubles, five triples, 15 runs and 24 RBIs. The Colonials have a young pitching staff, with all three pitchers being freshman. Sara Tenke is 3-6 in the season with a 4.14 ERA in 44.0 IP.
News & Notes: The last meeting between the Dolphins and Colonels was back in 1980, where the Dolphins fell 7-15. Recently added to the Staten Island schedule, the two teams go up head-to-head after many years looking for redemption. The Dolphins have yet to lose a game since returning from Orlando, FL as they are on an 11-game win streak, one game away from tying their third highest all-time streak since 2007.
