We are rolling into the month of August soon, and with that the men’s and women’s cross-country teams are gearing up for a successful run in 2017.  The team has prepared a six-meet schedule in time for the postseason with perhaps more added as the season begins to take shape.

Of their six scheduled meets, two take place at Van Cortlandt Park, site of the CUNYAC Championship in late-October.  The Dolphins will start their season there as part of the Hunter College Invitational on September 3, and are there two weekends later for the Queensborough Invite.  Sandwiched in-between those two meets will be a bus trip to Purchase, New York to take part in the Panthers Invitational there, and CSi will close out the month of September with their very own Invitational held at Clove Lakes Park, featuring an 8k run for the men and a 6k for the women for the second consecutive year.

The Dolphins are planning on adding a meet on October 22, right now an open date on the calendar.  That then leads to the CUNYAC Championship race back at Van Cortlandt on October 29.  After the CUNYAC’s and dependant on how the team races, CSI may attend the ECAC Championships in early-November and could make the trip to Houghton College for the NCAA Division III National Championsip Regionals on November 10-11.
