College of Staten Island senior guard Christina Pasaturo enjoyed another huge week that was, and for her efforts has earned the CUNYAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honor for the week of January 29. The award was Pasaturo’s fourth of the year, capping an undefeated week for the accomplished all-time leading scorer.
Pasaturo, who was also named the CSI Female Athlete of the Week for the sixth time this year helped propel CSI to a 3-0 week, all against CUNYAC competition. It started with a bang, as she became the 3rd player in CUNYAC history to score 2,000 career points when she scored 19 against CCNY on the road on Monday. Following that, she put up two 21-point efforts in an average of just 24.5 minutes per contest against both Baruch and York. For the season she is averaging 23.5 points per game and 6.2 rebounds per game. She leads the team in assists with 86 and 72 steals.
The Dolphins are coming down the home stretch of their season, and Pasaturo will continue to bu=ild on her blossoming point total. On top of the school’s scoring record, Pasaturo also broke both the school’s and CUNYAC’s three-point shooting record as well earlier this year.
