The College of Staten Island men’s basketball squad will get the afternoon started against Medgar Evers College. The Dolphins will head into today’s game off of their first loss in 10 games and will look for a better result today at The Tank.

Players to Watch (CSI): The Dolphins struggled in their last outing, shooting just 29% from the floor. Adeola Latunji scored a team-high 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting. Latunji sits second on the team, scoring 18.4 points per game, however, he leads the team with 8.5 rebounds per game. Christian Taylor was held to a season-low 8 points against the Bloodhounds and will be poised for a better outing against the Cougars. Taylor scored 16 points in his last game against Medgar Evers back in December and will want to better that here today. Stephen Flagg continues to pace the team with 3.1 assists per game as he draws multiple defenders when on the court.
Players to Watch (MEC): Justin Sutton poured in 20 points in the game against the Dolphins earlier this year, however, he turned the ball over six times. Chad Marcus added 17 points in that game while shooting 50% from 3-point range. Mousa Sinera leads the Cougars with 7.4 rebounds per game while Jafet Thomas picks up 1.4 blocks per game.
News & Notes: Over the last five outings the Dolphins are 4-1 against the Cougars and have scored 94+ points in three of those meetings. The Cougars are coming off of a win over Lehman College which gives them their fourth win in five games. When playing at The Tank the Dolphins are a solid 31-9 against the Cougars, however, in the last three meetings at The Tank, Medgar Evers is 2-1.
