The College of Staten Island women’s basketball squad will entertain the Cougars of Medgar Evers College today after the men’s game. The women come into today’s game on a five-game win streak, all of which have been CUNYAC matchups.

Players to Watch (CSI): The Dolphins used a late-game comeback to surpass John Jay in their last outing, winning 54-49. Megan McEwan once again led the Dolphins in scoring when she poured in 18 points on 6-of-17 shooting from the floor. Over the past three games, McEwan has tallied 13 assists which has helped her teammates convert easy baskets. Kayla Schmitter followed up her career-high 21 points with an 11 point outing while also grabbing five rebounds. Diana Todaro continues to lead the Dolphins in rebounds per game with 8.5 with Schmitter sitting second with 6.2. 
Players to Watch (MEC): Jessycca Myers paces the Cougars with11.9 points per game while also leading with 8.9 rebounds per game. Myers has been stout for Medgar Evers and helped them to their first win of the season when she scored a season-high 21 points against Lehman. Britiny McIntosh is second on the team with 7.7 rebounds a game and when paired with Myers really limit opponents second-chance opportunities. Khalia Sprattley is the long-range specialist for the Cougars and has hit 22% of her attempts. 
News & Notes: After winning 22 straight against the Cougars, they had their streak snapped last season. The Dolphins were able to avenge their loss with a 67-38 win earlier this season in Brooklyn, NY. At home, the Dolphins are 24-2 against the Cougars with the only two losses coming in 1994 and 2018. As a team, the Dolphins are averaging 65 points per game and holding their opponents to just 53 points per game.  The Cougars are scoring 42 points per game while allowing their opponents to score 70.
