The College of Staten Island History Department, International Studies, Department of Political Science and Global Affairs, Department of the Library, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Center for Global Engagement are sponsoring a pop-up lecture on Thursday called Russia and Ukraine: What’s Going On? The lecture, open to all, will take place virtually on Zoom from 3:30pm-4:30pm, and will offer Co-Curricular CLUE Credit for students.
Put together to explore the tensions created through Russia’s amassing of forces on the Ukrainian border. Dr. Anat Niv-Solomon, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science and Global Affairs and Dr. Susan Smith-Peter, Professor, History Department will discuss the historical background of these two nations, the evolving security situation, the impact on the region, and the roles of NATO and the nations attending the 2022 Munich Security Conference.
