CSI Professor Dr. Richard Flanagan was recently featured by Spectrum NY1 News in a story on the feasibility of secession of Staten Island. City Council Minority Leader Joseph Borelli introduced legislation to create a task force that would study and report on the feasibility of an independent Staten Island and Dr. Flanagan offered insight into the history of secession talks and the challenges associated with making it happen.
