As a part of CUNY’s ongoing strategic road mapping process, we are pleased to invite you to participate in an upcoming virtual event, “Amplifying CUNY’s Role as a Top Engine of Upward Mobility and Prosperity” with hosts Lauren Andersen and Jorge Silva-Purason, on Thursday, June 23 from 9:30am to 11:00am. Please join us—all are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Description: CUNY’s Strategic Roadmapping process represents an important chance for the University community to reflect on its rich history and present context to build toward a bright future. This is timely given the headwinds facing higher education systems, which have led to a period of evolution. Unlike other University systems, CUNY is known as the nation’s preeminent vehicle for upward mobility and prosperity in all its forms. Our collective ability to understand what we do that contributes to serving as such a vehicle, and build upon it, will go a long way in determining CUNY’s ability to continue to do so in the future. Building on CUNY’s innovative efforts, such as an increasing commitment to postgraduate outcomes including careers, working more closely with employers, engaging faculty in student career success, and developing cutting-edge programs and services to equip students and our communities with the tools they need to climb the ladder, the road mapping process will inform how CUNY continues to serve as the national model for equity, upward mobility, and social and environmental justice. Join us for a Strategic Road mapping panel during which we hope to hear from you on how we can continue to do so. Register online.

We look forward to engaging you in this important process.
