Setting Up Quizzes/Tests in Blackboard  

Date: Tuesday; Aug. 29; 10:30am – 11:30am and 1:30pm – 2:30pm

This session will cover the creation of quizzes/tests in the Blackboard environment for the purpose of unit assessment. Attendees will learn to create a new quiz or add an existing quiz/test. You will learn how to add questions with answers, such as multiple-choice, which can be automatically graded as well as provide automatic feedback. You will also learn how options, such as date, time, and specific conditions for reasonable accommodations, can be added before a quiz/test is released. The Training Center in the Library (Building 1L), Room 208 is available for hands-on experience during and after the session for up to four people. Basic Training on Using “Navigate CSI” for Early Alerts and Feedback  

Dates: September 12 and September 13, 2023  

Time: 11:00am – 11:45am – Virtual (via Zoom)  

Navigate CSI is a collaborative advisement virtual tool that aims to improve student retention and boost academic success. Some of you have utilized this tool before for progress reports; however, it has many more components that help identify at-risk students and offers assistance with various interventions. Basic Training covers the essential features to get started:   

  • Professor/Staff Home 
  • Adding Availability 
  • Messaging (Text/Email) 
  • Accessing and submitting progress reports  
  • Viewing student profiles 
  • Reporting on Appointments/Adding notes to student record 
  • Advanced Search 
  • Recording attendance
