The campus community is invited to the RELAY Launch Event on Thursday, Nov. 2 in the Center for the Arts (Building 1P) Lecture Hall and via Zoom (in-person is recommended)  from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.

The RELAY Team (“Respond, Establish Process, Link and Intervene, Assess, Yield Growth”) addresses our campus climate to foster a more just, diverse, and inclusive community in which the dignity and belonging of all are respected. Members of RELAY are available to respond to and support anyone on campus who reports an incident of racism or bias, including microaggressions. We are a diverse team of trained faculty and staff who care deeply about social justice in our campus community. We have come together to collectively make an impact.

After a year of training sessions and developing protocol, we have created a foundation where we can build a collaborative structure for a campus response to racism and bias that focuses on transformational solutions. Our mission is to improve campus climate through a caring and restorative response to bias incidents.

At this event, you will meet the team, learn about what we aim to accomplish, and experience a community-building activity. The event will end with an opportunity for questions and answers.
