The College of Staten Island’s Art Gallery introduced it’s newest exhibit, Jason Simon’s “Request Lines are Open (Remix)” on Thursday, November 2. The exhibition of sound, photography, and sculpture samples how a volunteer upstate New York radio soul and funk deejay earned an audience from the area’s incarcerated populations. The exhibit is on display through Thursday, Dec. 7, and is curated by Siona Wilson and Cynthia Chris. Jason Simon is an internationally exhibited artist and Professor Emeritus in CSI’s Department of Media Culture.
