On Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023, Dr. Sarolta Takács, Dean of the Humanities and Social Sciences, launched a brand new lecture series World on Fire. In this series of lectures, Dean Takács has invited faculty from across academic disciplines to explore important topics impacting our society. The theme for the 2023/2024 academic year is to analyze the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The first lecture, “What Can Be Done to Solve the Climate Crisis? Systemic Transformation or AI/Technological Solutions?” was presented by Dr. Ashley Dawson, Professor of English and Dr. Joseph Frusci, Adjunct Assistant Professor of History and Computer Science.
It is with great pleasure that we offer the College community an opportunity to view this important lecture.
