Thursday, April 18th is CSI Denim Day.

Please join the CSI Campus Community and wear your denim to show solidarity with sexual assault survivors.

This day of awareness began in 1999 as a response to a sexual assault conviction that was appealed and then overturned by the Italian Supreme Court. The justices wrote that since the victim was wearing tight jeans, she must have helped her attacker remove them–so consent was implicit. Protests followed in both Italy and the United States, and now we mark the day by wearing jeans or denim. #CSIDenimDay.

Please stop by Building 1A, Room 205 and participate in a Sharing Wall in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness.
