Pursuant to CUNY’s Policy on Sexual Misconduct (PSM), the Title IX Grievance Procedure requires that complaints be adjudicated via “live” hearings and decisions be rendered by a CUNY appointed Adjudication and Appeal Committee. To facilitate the hearings, and to ensure a fair and impartial process, CUNY has asked that Faculty and HEO series employees volunteer to fill the roles associated with the Title IX Grievance Procedure. The PSM is online for reference.
I am writing to ask for any volunteers who would be willing to attend upcoming trainings CUNY has scheduled for the roles and potentially participate in Title IX hearings. The volunteer positions available are: Presenter, Adviser, and Adjudication and Appeal Committee Member.
These roles are extremely important, and integral to ensuring due process to all parties in a Title IX matter.
