The College of Staten Island proudly announces the launch of its brand-new CSI Summer Theatre program with the beloved Broadway classic Fiddler on the Roof, playing four performances from July 31 through August 3 at the College’s Center for the Arts (Building 1P, 2800 Victory Blvd.).

This inaugural production of the new summer theatre initiative marks a vibrant step forward in enriching the cultural landscape of Staten Island and providing exciting new opportunities for both performers and audiences. With timeless songs like “Tradition,” “If I Were a Rich Man,” and “Sunrise, Sunset,” Fiddler on the Roof tells the heartwarming story of Tevye the milkman and his family as they navigate tradition, change, and faith in a rapidly shifting world.

College of Staten Island President Dr. Timothy G. Lynch celebrated the announcement, stating, “We are thrilled to launch this new initiative and welcome the community to our beautiful campus for what we know will be a stirring and memorable production. Fiddler on the Roof is a perfect choice to begin what we hope will be a longstanding summer tradition at CSI.”

The production will be directed and choreographed by Bronwyn Stayoch, with musical direction by Donna D’Ermilio. The cast of 47 features a talented ensemble of emerging performers and seasoned professionals, including: Bj High (Tevye), Lee Tennenbaum (Golde), Amelia Gordon (Tzeitel), Allison Kuhn (Hodel), Katie Micha (Chava), Adam Simancas (Motel), Michael Sekzer (Perchik), Jack West (Fyedka), Eddie Mayrose (Lazar Wolf), Phil Straniere (the Rabbi) and Diana Mannarino (Yente).

“Launching a summer theatre has been a longtime dream, and I am honored to see it come to life on Staten Island with such a timeless and meaningful show,” said Charlie Siedenburg, Producer. “We are dedicating this production of Fiddler on the Roof to the memory of Jennifer Straniere, a tireless advocate for the arts on Staten Island whose spirit, warmth, and generosity continue to inspire all of us involved in this project.”
