CSI and CLAGS: The Center for LGBTQ Studies are proud to host the Eighth Annual CSI Black Queer Studies Lecture on Friday, Oct. 24 from 1:00pm to 2:15pm at the Grauate Center, CUNY’s Proshansky Auditorium, 365 Fifth Avenue, NY, NY.

Please note that this date is a Monday schedule at CUNY, meaning Monday classes should be meeting.

This year’s speaker will be Mecca Jamilah Sullivan, PhD, author of three books: Big Girl, The Poetics of Difference: Queer Feminist Forms in the African Diaspora, and Blue Talk and Love.

CSI students who attend the Black Queer Studies Lecture will receive free copies of Big Girl, signed by the author. Seats for CSI students will be reserved in the Proshansky Auditorium (C level), and volunteers will guide students to their seats.

The BQS Lecture will be held as part of the international Lesbian Lives conference. Students are invited to enjoy the conference. They should check in at the conference registration table on the C level when they arrive. *Please bring your CSI ID for easier access to The Graduate Center.
