Keynote Speaker: Prof. Tasha Kimball, Department of History
Natalie (aka Tasha) Kimball is an Associate Professor of History at the College of Staten Island and affiliated faculty at The Graduate Center, CUNY where they teach courses in Latin American, Caribbean, and Oral History. Kimball’s research focuses on individuals’ experiences with gender, sexuality, and reproduction in 20th-Century Bolivia. Their recent publications include “Oral Histories of Abortion and the Limited Mobility of ‘Choice,’” published in the American Historical Review, and “Machismo and Other Intimacies in Twentieth-Century Bolivia: Reflections on Conducting Oral Histories about Sexuality and Reproduction,” published in Gender & History. Kimball’s work has been supported by grants from the Fulbright Program, PSC-CUNY, and the Andrew Mellon Foundation.
