The Office of Technology Services would like to inform you of an upcoming change to the VPN authentication process for accessing campus based PII data from your office desktop.

Effective Monday, June 15, authentication for the GlobalProtect VPN will transition from FLAS credentials to your CUNYLogin credentials. This change is intended to improve security and align VPN access with the University’s centralized authentication standards.

What is changing?

  • When connecting to the GlobalProtect VPN from on campus, you will log in using your CUNYLogin username and password.
  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA) will continue to be required.

What is not changing?

  • After successfully connecting to the VPN, you will continue to use your FLAS credentials when connecting to systems that require FLAS authentication.

No action is required at this time.

If you have any questions or experience any issues after the change takes effect, please contact the Help Desk for assistance.

Thank you for your cooperation and support as we continue to enhance the security of our systems.
